Block exemption for PBS sponsors

Tier 2 sponsors (employers) and Tier 4 sponsors (education providers) are exempt from registration with the OISC.

This exemption is limited to providing free immigration advice and services by the Tier 2 sponsor to that sponsor's Tier 2 employees and family members, or by a Tier 4 sponsor to its Tier 4 students and family members.

Immigration advice and services about other matters are not covered by this exemption. If your institution is not also covered by the exemption for education providers (see next screen), you must apply for and obtain authorisation from the OISC if you want to advise on other matters, for example, applications for work under Tier 1.
