  • The Association of Colleges' international activities are primarily focused on providing a strategic lead and representing the further education sector in government and EU-led policy development. It produces a regular online International Briefing.

Useful information sources

  • The UK Higher Education International Unit coordinates, promotes and undertakes activities designed to support UK universities' international activities, including European activity. Some reports and publications are restricted to subscribing UK universities and higher education colleges, while others, including their newsletter, are open access.
  • UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is responsible for UK visa and entry clearance policy and operations. If you need detailed and up to date information about student visa regulations you should ensure that you are signed up for updates from both UKVI (for official guidance and policy) and UKCISA for clear explanations and interpretation).
  • The Foreign & Commonwealth Office travel alerts provide updates on safety and security issues relating to international travel.
